2019 interim budget direct cash to famers

More than 12 million small and marginal farmers will get direct benefit to the farmers. This decision of the government will be implemented from December 2018, which will be deposited in the farmers' accounts in three installments. Its first installment will be deposited in bank accounts before March 31. This announcement was made by Finance Minister Piyush Goyal in his budget speech on Friday.

For the first time, the NDA government has understood the prevalence of agriculture and tried to solve its problems. Under this, other enterprises related to the agriculture sector were also brought under its scope, from which enterprises like Horticulture, Dairy, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and Poultry would also get the facilities available to the agriculture sector. Where loans will be provided at concessional rates, provision has been made to give Kisan credit card to them as well. The government has taken many more measures to increase the income of the farmers.

Presenting the interim budget for the upcoming financial year 2019-20, Finance Minister Piyush Goyal has given relief to farmers. He said that every possible steps have been taken to fulfill Prime Minister Narendra Modi's announcement to increase the income of the farmers.There are more than 87 percent of the country's small and marginal farmers, who have difficulty in getting cash for the purchase of seeds, manure, equipment and other inputs during the sowing season. In order to provide fixed income support to such small and marginal farmers, the government has announced to launch the Prime Minister's Kisan samman (PM-Kisan).

kisan ki photo के लिए इमेज परिणामUnder the PM-kisan,farmer families having a holding of two hectares (five acres) will be provided at the rate of Rs. 6000 per annum. This financial help will be deposited directly into bank accounts in three equal installments of two thousand rupees. In implementing this program, the government's treasury will have an annual burden of Rs 75,000 crore. For the current financial year 2018-19 20 thousand crore rupees have been made.

There are currently seven crore active Kisan credit cards in the country. According to an estimate, about 50 percent of the farmers are still out of institutional credit system. The government has expressed commitment to protect such farmers from the usurers. Together with the states and the banks, the central government will start an intensive campaign soon to provide credit card to all farmers.

It has also been decided to provide additional relief to the farmers affected by natural calamities. Where the disaster affected farmers first had to give a one-year time with the relaxation of two percent in debt repayment, it has increased it to three years now. In this, with the concession of two percent, the benefit of additional interest subsidy of three percent will be given.
